1. UK Fintech Week & IFGS

Innovate Finance dedicates an entire week to UK fintech, with different events running each day. These will cover core topics including growth, scaling, trends, and will showcase plenty of notable UK fintech success stories.

The week will kick off with IFGS 2023, discussing London’s fintech innovation and how it plays into a larger global context of investment and startups.

This event brings over 9,000 accountancy and finance professionals to share industry best practices, solutions, and to connect.

4. Fintech World Forum

This is London's all-things-fintech event. The agenda is bold, varied, and features keynotes from some of the best-known and fastest growing companies.

Over two days, finance experts from Solarisbank, IBM, HSBC and more will present topics ranging from crypto and NFTs, the changing landscape of fraud, and the future of AI and embedded banking.

Compared with some of the other events on this list, the Fintech World Forum is relatively intimate. It’s not set in a giant stadium, and attendees won’t feel lost in a sea of their peers.

It’s a good setting to connect with others in your field, and get face-to-face time with industry VIPs.

5. Finance and Accounting Annual Symposium

This event is free to attend, and a must for those interested in finance theory and academia in data analytics and accounting. Organized and hosted by the Westminster Business School, this symposium explores financial data issues in depth.

This year’s theme is “Diversity in Finance and Accounting,” and will provide an opportunity to discuss and explore what diversity means to the industry. According to the site, "Empowering people and ensuring diversity and inclusivity in all areas will ensure that the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) are achieved." So prioritizing diversity in the fields of finance and accounting will have far-reaching impacts.

The featured keynote speakers for this two-day event are London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) professor Daniel Ferreira, and London-based PwC Senior Manager Jason Buwanabala, and Manager Kasia Jazeel.

6. Fintech Week 2023

Not to be confused with the first event on this list, Fintech Week London takes place in summer 2023 and will include a Fintech Awards component.

This year’s edition has over 100 expert speakers lined up: from high-street banks and challengers, to technology giants and international financial institutions.

This week is dedicated to exploring and discussing the “coming of age of the fintech industry” and its evolution from disruption to an official player in the financial sector. Specific key topics last year included:
